Monday Intermediate Machine Sewing (4/1-5/6)

Expand your knowledge and build confidence with new skills and more advanced projects! This class builds on the skills learned in our Intro to Sewing course. Successful students will have previously completed our Intro to Sewing course, or be able to comfortably thread a sewing machine, follow a basic pattern, identify knit and woven fabrics, use a straight stitch, zig zag stitch, and backstitch, and be familiar with basic hand finishing techniques.
This course covers
Enclosed seams (French, flat felled, and lapped)
Intermediate construction techniques
Professional hems
Using interfacing and batting
Reading and following intermediate patterns
NOTE: Each student must bring their own machine. I am always happy to provide recommendations on buying your first new or used sewing machine. Please contact me directly if you would like guidance on acquiring your own machine! All other materials and supplies are provided.
